This handmade artistic woven fabric is inspired by the historical striped textile known as Majdalawi. Traditionally produced on a loom, it is woven using distinctive and vibrant, naturally dyed linen and cotton threads. The origins of this textile trace back to the people of Majdal, who were later displaced to Gaza, carrying this craft with them as part of their cultural heritage.
These tote bags are crafted from cotton and feature new, contemporary colour combinations inspired by the historical Majdalawi textile.
Produced in exclusive quantities, the fabric is sourced through select merchants in the alleys of the Old City of Jerusalem, making each item a unique continuation of a living tradition.
